Tlyne Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tlyne, operated by Ghulam Mustafa ("Tlyne," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use Tlyne. Tlyne is a software platform that helps freelancers manage projects and collaborate with clients. By using Tlyne, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Tlyne.
1.1 Account Information
When you create a Tlyne account, we may receive information such as:

- Email address
- Authentication information
- Account identifiers
- Information associated with your authentication provider
- Tlyne currently uses Clerk to provide authentication and account-management functionality.
1.2 Project and User Content
When you use Tlyne, you may provide information such as:
- Project names and descriptions
- Tasks
- Milestones
- Timelines
- Client names
- Client contact information
- Messages
- Proposals
- Invoices
- Deliverables
- Approvals
- Revision information
- Other information you choose to enter into the platform
- We process this information so that Tlyne can provide the functionality you request.
1.3 Payment Information
When you purchase a paid Tlyne subscription, payment information is processed through Lemon Squeezy.
Payment information may include transaction information, subscription information, billing details, and other information required to process a payment.
Tlyne does not generally store complete payment-card numbers.
Payment providers may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
1.4 Communications
If you contact Tlyne, we may collect the information contained in your communication, including your email address and the contents of your message.
Tlyne uses Resend to provide transactional and service-related email functionality.
1.5 Technical and Usage Information
We may automatically collect information about how you interact with Tlyne, such as:

3. AI and User Content
Tlyne does not currently send your project, client, or other User Content to third-party artificial-intelligence providers for AI processing or model training.
If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate and provide any notices required by applicable law.
4. Client Information
Tlyne allows freelancers to invite clients and collaborate with them.
A freelancer may therefore provide Tlyne with information about their clients.
If you are a freelancer using Tlyne, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate rights and permissions to provide client information to Tlyne and for complying with applicable privacy laws.
If you are a client invited by a freelancer, the freelancer who invited you may control how your information is used within the relevant project.
You may need to contact that freelancer directly regarding information they provided to Tlyne or how they use your information.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") apply, Tlyne may process personal information on legal bases including:
- Performance of a contract.
- Compliance with legal obligations.
- Legitimate interests.

6. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to help operate Tlyne.
Clerk
Used for authentication and account-management functionality.
Supabase
Used for database and infrastructure services.
Lemon Squeezy
Used to process subscriptions and payments.
Resend
Used to send transactional and service-related emails.
7. Information Sharing
We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate Tlyne.
- When you intentionally make information available to another Tlyne user, such as when you invite a client to a project.
- When necessary to process payments.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.
- To protect Tlyne, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

Information entered into Tlyne may be visible to people whom you authorize to access the relevant project or account.
For example, when a freelancer invites a client to a project, information associated with that project may be made available to that client according to the permissions and functionality provided by Tlyne.
You are responsible for determining what information you choose to share with your clients and other collaborators.
9. Data Storage and Retention
Your information is stored using infrastructure provided by our third-party service providers.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide Tlyne.
- Maintain your account.
- Provide customer support.
- Maintain security.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Resolve disputes.
- Enforce our agreements.
- Maintain legitimate business and financial records.
- When an account is terminated, information may remain in our systems for a period of time before deletion or anonymization.
